WORD PLAY
Word Play was an artistic project I created inspired by the sound and meaning of polish scientific terms after living abroad for several years. Only after I worked with science exclusively in English for quite some time, I realized how strange and sometimes funny some polish translations were. I designed a series of images, each inspired by a polish scientific term, such as "pantofelek" a name for a unicellular organism Paramecium caudatum, which also means "a slipper".
Word Play artworks were used by Polonium Foundation and printed on tote bags as gifts for Science: Polish Perspectives attendees.
